Formerly called the Grand Lacuna Golf and Country Club, this country club now goes by the name of Atlantic National Golf Club.  The Club is a hidden treasure is found in the western part of Lake Worth. One of the most diverse and growing counties in South East Florida.

The Atlantic National Golf Club has a wonderful golf community that offers a secure and serene lifestyle fit for families or retirees. The private golf community has a gated entryway with a winding path leading to 427 single-family homes set around a gorgeous golf course. The exceptional public 18-hole golf course has a private feel and residents have an option of becoming a member.

The golf community in The Atlantic National is comprised of seven subdivisions distributed across the well-maintained golf course. The golf houses are of average size ranging from 1,400 to 2,200 square feet. Many of the golf homes offer lake or golf course views. Amenities include a swimming pool, clubhouse, and a fitness center surrounded by the newly renovated Atlantic National Golf Course. The 24-hour manned security gate with roving security patrol, cable, and maintenance of the common areas are all covered by the low HOA fees.

Opened in 1988, the Atlantic National 18-hole golf course is a par of 71 with a measured length of 6,519 yards from the longest tees. Designed by Joe Lee, a golf architect who has a reputation for artistic style creates landscapes that are graceful and soothing. The Atlantic National, though a public course, is no exception. It is recognized as “one of the top 50 public courses in Florida” accorded by Golf Digest.

The course is known for its unique layout and design which will put any player to the test. The fairways are wide and topped with Bermuda which zigzags around lakes and canals. Expect water to influence your play in 15 of the holes. Sand too is placed strategically on the landing zones and by the green sides with some the size of a lake. Doglegs are also aplenty. The well-manicured undulating greens topped with TifEagle Bermuda grass are fast and tricky. Overall it's a challenging and enjoyable course for all types of players.

In addition, the club also offers a practice facility with a grass driving range, chipping, and a bunker area, and putting greens. A teaching pro is also available onsite for further instructions. The green fee is reasonable as it includes the use of a cart for 2.

The clubhouse is a welcome respite after a demanding game. Players can sit back and relax in a cozy environment sipping cold drinks and sampling warm food. A fully-equipped pro shop is within reach along with rental service for clubs and locker rooms.

Atlantic National also offers banquet services and caters to weddings and all types of affairs. The events can be made indoors or outdoors within the club.

The Atlantic golf community is not only teamed with a great public golf course but it is also located within an excellent school district, a great incentive for families with children. And with easy access to Florida Turnpike, 441 and I-95, Boynton Beach's numerous attractions and Wellington's awesome shopping and dining options are all conveniently accessible.
