The Biltmore Hotel and Golf Course is a Coral Gables hotel and golf resort that has 271 rooms and 174 suites. Situated on over 150-acres, the full-service hotel and golf resort has everything a resident could look for. All the rooms feature an authentic design making residents feel like they are actually in Spain or Italy. The Biltmore has a Mediterranean touch, which is a common feature for many Coral Gables golf homes. Guests can choose which rooms to stay at. Preferably the best options to pick out are the Merrick Presidential Suite and the Everglades Presidential Suite. Both offer gorgeous views of the Coral Gables. But, the former room is named after the renowned Coral Gables city developer George Merrick. While the latter, which is the most expensive suite, has a two-stories with ceiling paintings of the Florida Everglades. Opened in 1926, the hotel has served many famous guests and world leaders and is renowned for its timeless beauty and luxurious living. Whether for business meetings or leisure stays, the Biltmore goes above and beyond to have the best quality service in the state.
The Biltmore proudly offers world-class amenities and guests can relax or swim in the pool, being one of the largest on the East Coast of the United States. The pool measures 23,000-square feet that can hold 600,000 gallons of water. Private cabanas, surrounded by palm trees and captivating nature, are also available in the hotel. For an even more serene experience, the Biltmore also features a 12,000-square-foot European Spa. This hidden sanctuary has every relaxation method anyone could imagine— from nail services to facials for guests. To keep up with the summer body, the golf hotel also provides a modern-designed fitness center. Whatever makes guests feel most comfortable with, from water exercises to outdoor activities, the Biltmore is ready to serve.
One of the most popular outdoor activities in the Coral Gables is the Biltmore Golf Course. Perfect for pro-golfers or beginners, this golf course has an 18-hole layout with 419 Bermuda grass fairways. It is considered one of the best-restored golf courses in Coral Gables. It has a length of 7112 yards with a 74.3 USGA rating and the highest 132 slope score. At the same time, the golf course is well-known as the home of local golf competitions. The course was designed by Donald Ross, Mark Mahannah Sr., and Brian Silva.
Unknown by many, Biltmore shares history with other nearby golf courses, the 9-hole Granada Golf Course and the 18-hole Riviera Golf Course. While the developers' initial plan was to have two 9-hole and three 18-hole Courses in Coral Gables, regrettably these plans never eventuated. The Biltmore is now only a five-minute drive from the Riviera; and one mile away from the Granada. Aside from other golf courses, the golf resort is also perfectly placed near malls, residences, bars, etc.
