The City of Lauderhill Golf Course is located in Broward County, Florida. It is located in the Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area and spans 8.5 square miles. Primary attractions for golf home residents include watching major sports teams (i.e., Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers, and Miami Heat), culture events, arts, and the beaches.
It is home to an estimated 71,868 residents. There are around 23,398 golf homes in the area, with 16% being vacant. Most of those who live in the community are married couples with children under 18, singles, and retirees.
Until the late 1980s to the early 1990s, the City of Lauderhill was primarily a retirement community for people of the Jewish faith. Now, the population is mainly diverse with Jamaicans, West Indians, and African Americans. However, it still has a sizeable white, Jewish, and Hispanic population in the Northwest section and the Inverrary neighborhood.
The City of Lauderhill Golf Course offers many recreational activities with its sports facilities and hosts and partners with many adult sports leagues and groups. Their programs include the Int'l Night Cricket Tournament, Caribbean Americas Soccer Association (CASA) Soccer League, Golf Course, Lauderhill Lions Men's Soccer Club, NYSA Netball Leagues, and Pickleball.
They also offer aquatic facilities, 26 public parks, a fitness center, and the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center.
The Parks & Recreation Department also provides a variety of youth sports opportunities for young ones and teens to play football, baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, tennis, swimming, cricket, lacrosse, and more.
The City of Lauderhill is also the home to the City of Lauderhill Golf Course, where golf home residents can enjoy the 9-hole par 30- course. It measures only 1,200 yards from the back tees.
