Fisher Island, America's richest zip code, is a 216-acre barrier island located immediately south of Miami Beach and boasts an exclusive tropical golf community shared among approximately 700 of the wealthiest families in the US. Golf carts are the preferred mode of transportation for residents and their guests while on the island and coming to and from their Fisher Island condos. Fisher Island has its own day school, fire station, emergency medical services station, and mail facility. Full-time and seasonal residents also agree that Fisher Island's beaches are one for the books. Its sand is even imported from the Bahamas.
