To the northwest of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is the Inverrary Country Club. A neighborhood of Lauderhill, the community dates back to 1971 and has continued to develop over the years. Located in the heart of Broward County, and just 10-minutes from I-95 and even less from the Florida Turnpike, the Inverrary Country Club community is also an easy drive away from West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Miami, making it the perfect location.
Inverrary Country Club mostly features cozy homes that are very reasonably priced. Single-family golf homes within the community feature two to four-bedroom floorplans with one to three bathrooms ranging in size from 1,700 to 2,000-square feet. The community also has plenty of attached homes such as golf condos, townhouses, and even single-bedroom lofts, available as well. A beautiful waterfall graces the Oakland Park entrance to the center of the community and included within Inverrary is the Environ Cultural Centre, a resource for social, cultural, and recreational activities including a theatre, library, tennis, swimming, shuffleboard, billiards, bowling, exercise, meeting rooms, arts and crafts.
Central to life at the Inverrary Country Club are the two outstanding 18-hole, Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed, golf courses where the history and tradition of 15 PGA and LPGA tournaments live on! At Inverrary, golfers can play the famous signature East Course, where champions like Jack Nicklaus, Johhny Miller, Lee Trevino, Tom Kite, Hale Irwin, and Tom Weiskopf have walked and won.
Inverrary's East Course hosted a late winter PGA Tour event for a decade beginning in 1972. The tour event was hosted by entertainer Jackie Gleason in the 1970s and is now The Honda Classic. The East Course was also the site of the Tournament Players Championship in 1976, and in the early 1990s, on the LPGA Tour, it was the site of The Phar-Mor at Inverrary. The West Course, also a championship layout, was one of Robert Trent Jones, Sr.'s favorite designs and is great for those who simply want to have fun on the course.
The Inverrary Country Club recently spent over $1 million to upgrade its courses and facilities. An updated irrigation system has helped get both courses in the best shape ever. The club has completely renovated the driving range, and the clubhouse has been remodeled to make it a more friendly, enjoyable place for members and their guests to relax. The club's historic 40,000-square foot clubhouse and 500+ seat banquet room can accommodate groups of all sizes. Inverrary offers also complete event packages that leave nothing to chance with private meeting rooms available as well.
Unfortunately, Inverrary Country Club's golf courses are currently closed.
