The Kingsway Country Club in Florida community is wonderful golf course and residential neighborhood that includes both 55+ and open-age sections with detached single family homes, golf condos and townhouses to choose from. The 55+ neighborhood at Kingsway Golf Villas features 104 attached homes surrounding the picturesque Kingsway Country Club. Golf home owners can enjoy various amenities, including the clubhouse, outdoor pool, and golf course.
Construction started in 1986 and was completed in 1991. The single family homes range in size from 1,650-square feet to 2,850-square feet with two to three-bedrooms, two-bathrooms, a den space that can also be converted as an office or additional space, and a one or two-car garage. These midsize golf homes are priced at approximately $135,000 to $300,000 with an average homeowners association fee of around $205 to $240 per month.
Common features of Kingsway Country Club’s golf homes include spacious kitchens and cabinet space, inviting outdoor spaces, expansive great rooms, and open floor plans. The large golf houses also have a cozy living room, an enormous master bedroom suite with walk in shower, a jacuzzi tub, a large backyard, swimming pools, and more.
Aside from the clubhouse with multipurpose rooms, residents can take advantage of the dining rooms at the club and there’s a Pro shop for all their golfing needs. There’s also a pool and patio area, tennis courts, and the 18-hole golf course.
Amenities for golfers at the club include a driving range, practice bunker, pitching and chipping area, putting green, and a golf school academy, as well as locker rooms and meeting facilities. Designed by Ron Garl, the club’s routing is maintained in excellent shape with its outstanding staff providing the best of service.
Kingsway Country Club is located in Lake Suzy, providing residents easy access to daily conveniences. The children of Kingsway Country Club can attend A-rated schools, including Nocatee Elementary School, DeSoto Middle School, and DeSoto High School. For grocery shopping, residents can meet their needs at Walmart, Publix, and Winn-Dixie. Several shopping centers along Tamiami Trail, including Port Charlotte Town Center. CVS and Walgreens are just a short drive away.
Kingsway Country Club is close to Fawcett Memorial Hospital and Bayfront Health Punta Gorda. For entertainment, residents can visit Punta Gorda's downtown area, where they will find various bars and restaurants with live music, boat tours, and breweries. For those looking for parks, homeowners can check out Deep Creek Preserve and Audubon-Pennington Nature Park.

Lake Suzy may not be as famous as other cities in the United States. However, this small town has been growing as a tourist destination with many unique things to do and places to explore. Unfortunately, the Kingsway Country Club in Florida is currently closed. It is scheduled to reopen in 2023 as the Aileron Golf Club.
