Long Meadow at Rotonda West is the fourth section at Rotonda West to be developed. Rotonda West has an unusual layout with its distinct shape of a wagon and Long Meadow sitting at "2 o'clock" occupying the larger community’s east-northeast section.

Locals consider Rotonda West as the "core community" of the Cape Haze Peninsula and it is regarded as a true golfer's paradise, offering unique golf courses with 99-holes. The golf courses are open to the public, although golf memberships are very affordable. All golf homes at Long Meadow are positioned on either a golf course, greenbelt, or body of water.

The 27-hole Long Marsh Golf Club is made up of three nine hole routings, including Long Marsh, White Marsh, and Pine Valley, designed by Ted McAnlis in 1999. Aside from these three courses, residents can also use the semi-private golf courses surrounding the community, including the Pinemoor, Hills, Links, and Palms layouts.

Most of the Long Meadow at Rotonda West golf homes were built from the mid-1990s and through the 2000s. The golf properties are commonly a little larger compared to those found in the other Rotonda West community sections. In addition, Long Meadow’s newer golf houses have more modern features and meet higher building codes for storm protection.

Golf homes in Long Meadow at Rotonda West offer two to four bedrooms, two to four bathrooms, and one to three car garages. These single family homes feature summer kitchens, rich landscapes, private pools, and covered lanais. The interior has an open floor plan and kitchens with solid surface countertops and hardwood cabinets, a cozy living room, master suites with walk-in closets, spacious bedrooms, and more.

These golf properties can range in size from 1,684-square feet to 2,344-square feet and are commonly priced from $500,000 to $750,000. Open lots are also available from 0.22-acres to 0.41-acres priced at approximately $69,000 to $109,000.

Long Meadow at Rotonda West is a deed restricted community just an hour south of Sarasota, Florida. The golf neighborhood is also 15-minutes away from Boca Grande and Englewood Beach. This small section at Rotonda West also offers a delightful winter climate, continuous job growth, and a lovely small-town feel.

November, December, and March are often the most pleasant months in Long Meadow and a great time to enjoy the various activities that are available to residents, including plenty of water activities such as fishing and kayaking. The blue green waters of Placida Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico provide some of the best fishing found anywhere.

There are also a lot of great places to visit close to this amazing golf community, including Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park, Englewood Drum Circle, Cape Haze Pioneer Trail Park, Little Gasparilla Island, Don Pedro Island State Park, and of course, there’s the wonderful Rotonda Golf and Country Club.

Long Meadow at Rotonda West falls under the Charlotte County Public School district and the children of this golf community can attend A-rated schools, including Vineland Elementary School, L.A. Ainger Middle School, and Lemon Bay High School.
