This gated country club started in the ‘70s in what used to be an overgrown field used as a horse corral. The development is made up of 51 2-storey condominium buildings consisting of 10  units per building. The units offered are either 1 to 2-bedroom units and have been upgraded with modern amenities. Monterey Yacht and Country Club have 2 clubhouses that serve food and beverages. One is located near the golf course and an outdoor swimming pool. The other clubhouse is located at the waterfront where it features a dry dock for securing boats or casting a line to fish. The 2 clubhouses are also equipped with a fitness center, ballroom, library, woodworking shop, billiards, and 2 other multipurpose rooms which can serve as a venue for social events and activities.

Outdoors, aside from the executive golf course and swimming pool, residents can also enjoy the bocce ball and shuffleboard courts. Or enjoy the walking path that meanders around the scenic lakes and ponds including the fishing piers and a kayak launch along the St. Lucie River.
