When Pine Island Ridge Country Club has originally developed the concept was to have a private country club community and wrap the 14 condominium and Homeowners Associations around a pleasant and challenging 18-hole golf course.  In addition to golf, the founders wanted to provide for other recreational activities, as well as elegant and convenient dining facilities. The result of those efforts is the Pine Island Ridge Country Club, a private club in which membership is a benefit of ownership in one of the residential phases.  

This Pine Island Ridge community dates back to 1974 and has continued to develop over the years with the Pine Island Ridge golf homes and golf condos now surrounded by heavily wooded areas, massive palms, and tropical landscaping. Following significant renovations in 2010, residents can enjoy the rolling green fairways, winding trails, and walking paths that wind through the development. 

Pine Island Ridge offers a range of condominiums, golf villas, and townhouses of medium size. Best known for their affordability, golf properties in the Pine Island Ridge community are well-maintained and are close to both Interstate 595 and the Florida Turnpike.

Typical updates in the condos involve designer kitchens with features such as quartz countertops, tile flooring, breakfast bar seating, and custom kitchen cabinets. Master suites are usually large with spacious closets and updated bathrooms featuring modern styling, separate soaking tubs, and glass-enclosed showers.

The epicenter of the community is the 18-hole Pine Island Ridge Country Club golf course which is a challenging par 64 executive-style layout measuring a little under 5,000-yards. The club has a Pro Shop with a facility for year-round bag storage as well as practice areas and golf professionals for private and group lessons. The club's active Ladies and Men's Golf Associations also offer members a wide variety of both golf and social functions on a year-round basis.

The country club building provides meeting, card, and function rooms, two restaurants, banquet facilities, an exercise room, sauna, steam rooms, locker rooms, and arts and crafts. Surrounding the country club building are swimming and wading pools, a BBQ area, and a children's playground, along with lighted tennis courts and a gazebo suitable for garden weddings or family photos.

Pine Island Ridge Country Club has maintained these facilities in excellent condition over the years through the continuing efforts of progressive management, active Executive Committees, and the Board of Governors. Members have full use of all the facilities and in the case of a unit that is being leased, an ID card is supplied to each renter for the duration of the lease.
