Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club enjoy a rich heritage as one of South Florida's premier private golf communities, offering its members an unusual level of camaraderie, diverse facilities, and a wide range of activities to celebrate friendships and a deep sense of community. Part of the Boca Raton landscape for over 50 years, Royal Palm is an oasis in downtown Boca, nestled along the Intracoastal Waterway and Capone Island.
In 1959, Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club began its legendary history. Mr. Arthur Vining Davis wanted to sell some of his estimated 100,000-acres in Florida, and the land that he chose for the Royal Palm community development was a premium location with boundaries of the Boca Hotel and Club, the Intracoastal Waterway, the Hillsboro River, and Federal Highway.
The iconic Sam Snead was the club's first golf professional, and the original Robert Trent Jones golf course received a great deal of attention. Royal Palm has gone through many changes, including a recent re-modeling of the Yacht Club by Peacock and Lewis and the stunning new Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. The club's membership has grown, and the demographics have changed, but the club still feels like family.
Membership in Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club is by invitation and the candidate selection process is overseen by the club's members. Truly a private club, there are no residency requirements to be considered for membership and at Royal Palm, you will mix with a diverse range of members from across Florida and around the world.
Although property ownership is not required to become a club member the Royal Palm community offers waterfront, golf course, and interior single-family golf homes with over 450-acres of land and 700 golf estate homes. The diversity in architectural design and flare is abundant even for the most discerning golf house buyer.
