Serenoa Golf Club is a golf community located east of the I-75 in Sarasota County, Florida. Golf homes and lots in this neighborhood are larger than usual and are built surrounding the magnificent 18-hole Serenoa Golf Course. Most of the golf properties offer beautiful golf course views or water views of the lakes and ponds scattered all around the community. Due to having larger homes, the standard floorplans at Serenoa are 3 to 5 bedrooms with 2 to 4 bathrooms, not to mention other options such as swimming pools, fitness rooms, extra-large garages, and entertainment rooms.

This gated community is notable for its understated elegance and beautiful village aesthetic. Serenoa is considered a premium Sarasota community, but unlike other neighborhoods with the premium tag, Serenoa Golf Club’s membership is not compulsory and people can live in this neighborhood without having to sign up for a golf club membership. The golf homes are large and well spread out and privacy is clearly a highlight of owning a golf residence here. There’s also attractive, well-maintained landscaping throughout with large trees lining the sides of the winding road leading to the village proper.

The community’s golf course is a par 72 championship layout designed by Mark Alden who did a tremendous job of taking advantage of the local wetlands as water comes into play on every hole. The golf amenities are complete with plenty of practice facilities and the Serenoa Golf Club consistently ranks as one of the top courses in Sarasota and regularly features in lists of the top 100 golf courses in Florida.

Aside from the golf course, the clubhouse is one of its best amenities at Serenoa for both golfers and residents who can relax with friends and neighbors over drinks or enjoy a delicious meal any day of the week. The clubhouse can also be hired as a private function venue for parties, meetings, and social gatherings with banquet facilities that can comfortably serve a large number of people.

With its semi-private accessibility, the gates of Serenoa Golf Club are open during the day but are strictly closed at night ensuring the safety and privacy of residents. Much like other restricted communities, Serenoa Golf Club administers very reasonable Homeowners Association fees, but there is no CDD fee. Serenoa is conveniently located near shopping centers, schools, hospitals, and nature parks, while the community’s proximity to the I-75 means it’s easy for residents to visit neighboring cities.
