The Villages of Del Mar, El Cortez, Oak Meadows and Spanish Springs are located 80-miles north of Tampa and 60-miles southeast of Orlando. The community is part of The Villages, the largest 55+ golf community in the world.

Golf home buyers will find single-family golf homes in various series, including Patio Villas, Cottage Village, Cottage Homes, Courtyard Villas, Verandas, Designers Homes, and Premier Estate Homes. Each of these designs have various floor plans, with Patio Villas being the most moderate and Premier being the most high-end. With sizes from 1,100 to 2,200-square feet for villas and smaller golf houses, and to more than 3,500-square feet for a Premier golf estate, golf home prices vary from approximately $200,000 to more than $1,000,000. Added premiums allow golf home buyers a golf course or water view, or a golf home with conservation areas to the rear of their property.

After purchasing their golf homes, new homeowners will be given a keycard that holds the key to all the amenities in The Villages. The nearest recreation centers for The Villages of Del Mar, El Cortez, Oak Meadows and Spanish Springs are the La Hacienda Pool and Recreation Center and Chula Vista Recreation Center where residents are offered a range of activities. Locals can also use their golf car as their primary mode of transport since the entire Villages community is golf car friendly, with many golf car dealerships and gas stations spread throughout.

The Villages has three town squares: Lake Sumter, Spanish Springs, and Brownwood Paddock Square. The nearest town square for The Villages of Del Mar, El Cortez, Oak Meadows and Spanish Springs residents is Spanish Springs which has the Rialto Theatre and radio station. It has 13 restaurants and plenty of other shops, including Margarita Republic, Gators Dockside, Farm Shed, Amerikanos Grille, The Rug Gallery, SAS Comfort, Chico's, Van Heusen, and more. The square also holds live entertainment every night.

One main attraction of The Villages is that it offers "free golf for life," which means residents can perfect their game at any of the 50+ golf courses it provides. The Villages of Del Mar, El Cortez, Oak Meadows and Spanish Springs can make good use of the Chula Vista Executive Golf Course, the nearest course to them as this 9-hole layout is very friendly to novice players.

The Villages is a unique neighborhood that centers its golf community around health and wellness.
