Brian Lusssier

Growing up in New England, Brian Lussier's exposure and early influences to golf course architecture were from playing and working on the many Donald Ross and A.W. Tillinghast golf courses that painted the surrounding landscape. It was there his appreciation for nature and the game began. After receiving an Associate's in Applied Science degree from the Southern University of New York, Cobleskill in Turfgrass Science, Brian continued his education and graduated from the University of Georgia in Environmental Design/Landscape Architecture.  

Lussier began his career as a land planner focusing on community and resort development. It was there that his passion for the game of golf was rekindled and began his career as a golf course architect. Now with over 30 years of golf course design experience, which include working with some of the great golf course architects of the modern time; Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Rick Robbins, Brian has created award-winning projects around the world, including South America, Southeast Asia, Eastern, and Western Europe and China.  

Established in 2016, Lussier Golf Design, Brian's own design firm is a full-service company featuring, golf course architecture, renovation, and master planning, project, and construction consultation. The company believes in being stewards of the natural landscape by protecting and preserving the environment through the integration of creative and sound design principles and practical construction methods.
