Bruce Howard
Since 1972, the American golf course design firm of Bruce Howard and Associates has helped lead the way in the design of large-scale golf communities and over 15,000 people call their communities home. In addition, they have participated in over 40 hotel and resort projects for Sandals Resorts, Ritz Carlton, Hyatt, Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Plaza Suites, Westin, and Howard Johnson's. They have also worked with some of the foremost golf course architects in the world, including Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Rees Jones, Bob Cupp, Gary Player, and Arthur Hills.
Beyond the extensive work in new developments that Bruce has worked on, one key area of design he and his firm specialize in involves the renovation of older communities. Typically, in a 25+year old community, the design continuity gets lost over the years, whereas today's newer developments have a much stronger architectural identity and there is an emphasis placed on creating a cohesive concept from entry to exit. A large amount of older communities have expressed a desire to upgrade their look in hope of increasing home values and Bruce Howard and Associates have assisted many.
