Steve Forrest and Associates
Steve Forrest is a well-known golf course architect and an esteemed American Society of Golf Course Architects member. In 1999, he decided to work with other well-respected architects in the industry, Arthur Hills and Shawn Smith. They started the Hills Forrest Smith Golf Course Architects firm, which was also named Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates.
The architectural company went to 42 countries over the years, renovated approximately 150 golf courses, and designed 200 new layouts. The firm believes that an excellent routing must be playable and fun for casual golfers but also feature strategic angles to keep it challenging.
When it comes to design, Steve Forrest and Associates makes a golf course interesting by creating different hole lengths, complex green designs, and many more. They also respect the natural environment within an area by protecting its elements and striving to blend the existing surroundings into the new layout.
Some of the company's best designs are Wolfdancer Golf Club in Texas, Bighorn Golf Club in California, Catawba Island Club in Ohio, and many more. Also, the firm is always on the Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, and Golf Week lists for different awards and achievements.
Arthur Hills says, "At Hills & Forrest, we are committed to creating unique and lasting designs worldwide." Indeed, the company attests to this promise.
