Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Pacific Dunes Course in southwest Oregon was built on rugged, wind-swept land and presents genuine links golfing experience. True links courses are rare, with only about 160 on the entire planet, and at Bandon Dunes, you'll find five distinctly different courses, all built on a beautiful stretch of sand dunes perched 100-feet above the Pacific Ocean.
Designed by Tom Doak and opened in 2001, the par 71 Pacific Dunes layout is remarkably different in character and shot-making requirements than the other courses. Pacific Dunes doesn't feel like it was built as much as it was discovered. Rippling fairways remain just as they were prior to development and natural bunkers line the landscape.
The 6,633-yard course emerges from shore pines to spectacular 60-foot sand dunes and when the wind blows, precise approach shots are a necessity. Pacific Dunes is short enough to give players hope but rugged enough to test every facet of their game.
As well as luxury accommodation Brandon Dunes offers full-service bars and restaurants, lounges, golf shops, caddie services, a sauna, gymnasium, and more. A 30-acre practice center allows golfers to hone every shot required and features a one-acre practice putting green and bunker practice area.
