Barnbougle Tasmania is situated on the rugged northeast coast of Tasmania and is approximately one hour from Launceston and 90-minutes from Launceston airport. Australia's island state is one of the more ideal places in the world for a links golf course. It's on this coastal strip, where stark beaches fold into undulating farmlands, that two iconic golf courses have been crafted out of an extraordinary landscape to emulate the true links courses of Scotland and Ireland. 

Designed by Tom Doak and Mike Clayton, the 18 holes, par 72, Dunes is the elder of the two courses and a spectacular example of traditional links golf. Despite its shared location, Barnbougle's second installment, the
Lost Farm's course, is remarkably different, featuring a layout that winds along the coast and through the coastal dunes adjacent to the Forester River and inland towards the Tasmanian hinterland.

Barnbougle Lost Farm 20 holes, all playable during any given round, are ranked as the number two public course in Australia by Golf Australia Magazine and 23rd in the World by US Golf Digest. Head architect Bill Coore created Lost Farm to complement the canvas provided by nature. Coore's reputation for minimalistic course design is paired with his philosophy that traditional, strategic golf is the most rewarding. Both these courses can be enjoyed by either walk or cart and Barnbougle can even provide professional assistance from your own personal caddy. The two courses also share a driving range, putting greens and chipping green with bunkers.

Overlooking Barnbougle Lost Farm's pristine beach sits the stunning Dunes Clubhouse, which has accommodation and offers a host of other amenities including a day spa, sports bar, and restaurant. Barnbougle also hosts an annual high goal polo match, a unique event in Tasmania.
