Belleair Country Club, East Course

Belleair Country Club is perched on top of Belleair's high ground, with a clear view of Clearwater Bay right beneath its edges. Because of its wide landscape, the original golf course at Belleair, which was designed by Donald Ross, expanded from nine holes to 18-holes, and finally, 36-holes. It was then that it was divided into two full championship layouts: the East and West Courses. The original golf course was the first in Florida.

Belleair Country Club, East Course 18-hole measures 6253-yards and has a slope of 129 and a 70.4 USGA rating. This course features 5 sets of tees making the East playable regardless of a golfer's skill level. As per Ross' design, a round of golf on the East Course at Belleair is always challenging to play but a fun and rewarding experience, nonetheless.

Players who love fast-paced greens will surely love this course as putts roll fast on Belleair's well-groomed Bermuda grass. The only obstacles on the East course are some bodies of water in the middle which can give players a few problems off the tee. Conditions are also superb on the fairways and there is nothing not to love about this course as golfers are surrounded by breathtaking views throughout.

With a full set of golf practice facilities plus year-round availability, Belleair Country Club's East Course will always remain a layout that members and their guests love returning to time after time. The amenities at the Belleair Country Club continue with a huge fitness center, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and the club's marina which is located minutes from the clubhouse on beautiful Clearwater Bay.

Belleair Country Club

The town of Belleair is a great retirement area. With more than 2,500 housing units and growing, Belleair is a popular option for those who want to purchase a golf property near the beach. Structures here are always designed to be hurricane-proof since the area is prone to such calamity.

Belleair has the distinction of being the original golf town in all of Florida State for having the first golf course in this side of America. Their East and West golf courses are both mainly designed by Donald Ross and are two of the few waterside courses in America. The clubhouse exudes elegance and you can enjoy dining there with Clearwater Bay sunsets in view.

Aside from golf, there are also courts for tennis, pickleball, and croquet for other sports activities. The Olympic-size swimming pool is great for athletic training or simply for relaxing while the town marina offers a safe space for boating, diving, and other water activities.
