Sitting on top of Belleair's elevated location, Belleair Country Club has the perfect view of Clearwater Bay from the top. Waterside golf courses are hard to come by in America and Belleair Country Club happens to have two such golf courses.

The two Belleair layouts were originally designed by Donald Ross as a single nine-hole course and the first in the entire state of Florida. Belleair's routing continuously expanded until it reached 36-holes and was divided into two separate courses, namely the East and Belleair Country Club, West Course, which were both renovated by Stephen Kay and Matt Swanson in more recent years.

Belleair Country Club's 18-hole West Course is slightly longer than its counterpart as it measures 6541-yards, close to 300 yards more than the East. The slope is at 124 and it's a USGA rating of 71.3, also indicating a slightly tougher layout. It also has 5 sets of tees suitable for any handicap and, as with all Donald Ross creations, the course is perfectly designed to be challenging yet enjoyable.

Like its counterpart, the West Course is covered by lush Bermuda grass which means the pace of the well-manicured greens can be fast. Rolls tend to be longer and for players whose game suits speedy greens, then this course can be perfect. Conditions are excellent and the view of Clearwater Bay is such that weariness is seldom the topic of conversation as members depart the fairways and head into the clubhouse.

From the intimate to the extraordinary, Belleair Country Club dining has options to suit all tastes. There are also plenty of other amenities for club members and their guests to enjoy with a huge fitness center, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and the club's marina which is located minutes from the clubhouse on beautiful Clearwater Bay.

Belleair Country Club

The town of Belleair is a great retirement area. With more than 2,500 housing units and growing, Belleair is a popular option for those who want to purchase a golf property near the beach. Structures here are always designed to be hurricane-proof since the area is prone to such calamity.

Belleair has the distinction of being the original golf town in all of Florida State for having the first golf course in this side of America. Their East and West golf courses are both mainly designed by Donald Ross and are two of the few waterside courses in America. The clubhouse exudes elegance and you can enjoy dining there with Clearwater Bay sunsets in view.

Aside from golf, there are also courts for tennis, pickleball, and croquet for other sports activities. The Olympic-size swimming pool is great for athletic training or simply for relaxing while the town marina offers a safe space for boating, diving, and other water activities.
