Blue Heron Golf Course is a semi-private golf facility in Okeechobee, Florida. The 18-hole golf course is an affordable golfing option with discounted rates and green fees inclusive of golf carts and pull carts.
The golf club first opened in 1991 and tapped into the course architecture skills of Marlen Collins and M. McMaster to design layout. The pair utilized Bermuda grass for the fairways and Tidwarf grass for the greens to ensure that the golf course was available to play all year round despite the Florida weather.
The par-71 golf course measures 5,558-yards when played from its longest tees, with a total of four sets of tees to accommodate all types of players. The golf club iss notable for having friendly staff and personnel, a relaxed approach to rules and regulations, and always welcomes players who wish to walk the course.
Blue Heron Golf Course offers a full selection of practice facilities for golfers including a driving range, putting green, and a chipping and pitching area. Players also have a clubhouse with lockers and snacks available.

The Blue Heron Golf Course community is a collection of single-family golf homes located around the former Blue Heron golf course which was designed by Marleen Collins and M. McMaster. The open community is not governed by any Homeowners’ Associations and are instead a collection of private residences that are part of a friendly and relaxed open community.
