Originally designed and constructed under the direction of course designer Willard Byrd in 1968 the layout was remodeled in 1994 by Ken Green. The course was again reconstructed in 2004, reflecting the signature style of eminent course architect Rees Jones. This contemporary course now offers an exciting round whether played by novice or pro thanks to its thoughtfully considered routing.
Following the reconstruction Breakers West's par 72 Rees Jones Course now stretches more than 7,100 yards and features testing water carries, contoured greens, large fairways, and five sets of tees. Whether you're a first-time player or a skilled professional the new layout at the Breakers West Country Club will challenge players at every turn. Golfers will also find plenty of practice facilities, a Pro Shop, and the John Webster Golf Academy at the club.
After working on their services on one of Breakers West's seven Har-Tru tennis courts, or after a round of golf, the clubhouse bar and restaurant provide members and their guests with drinks and delicious meals. June through August, Breakers West golf membership also provides summer access to the famed Breakers Beach Club and the historic 18-hole Ocean Golf Course.
