The ambitious design, encompassing two nine-hole loops, weaves up and down rolling terrain, with the par 4 first hole, being rated by Golf Australia as Queensland's "Greatest Golf Hole". While respecting, and indeed enhancing, the natural beauty and majesty of this site, Norman has crafted many demanding challenges into this layout. Having hosted multiple Queensland Opens, Brookwater Golf Club has always challenged even the best of players, with its heavily bunkered greens and narrow fairways requiring accurate driving and precise approach shots for a low score.
