Home of the Ocala Open golf tournament, the Candler Hills Golf Course is a beautiful par 72 semi-private championship golf course with five sets of tees ranging in length from 4,877 to 7,233-yards creating a rewarding experience for golfers of various handicaps. Designed by Gordon G. Lewis in 2005 as a Palm Springs-style course, Candler Hills has a state-of-the-art practice facility with both long and short game practice areas.
Golfers enjoy the picturesque scenery and unique layout, but most importantly, great rounds of golf on a well-maintained routing. With a Palm Springs-style landscape, the course’s natural splendor is enhanced by various trees, including sabal palms, live oaks, and slash pines, as well as various ornamental grasses… this is not a typical Florida golf course.
Candler Hills Golf Course offers daily play and tournaments as well as clinics and lessons by PGA and LPGA professionals on staff. Private lessons, small group lessons, or large clinics are available to suit every golfer’s individual needs. The golfer may select the golf professional they feel will best suit their instructional needs.
The club provides annual and six-month golf memberships for both singles and couples. The course also serves as a venue for private fundraising and corporate events.
