Cinnamon Hill Golf Course

Queen's Highway, Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica

Cinnamon Hill Golf Course is nestled in a spectacular location in the Rose Hall estate with the course stretching from the mountains down to the crystal clear Caribbean Sea. With some holes located adjacent to the sea, others climb into the mountains providing breathtaking views back down to the ocean.

Well-kept greens, a fresh sea breeze, and the beautiful natural surroundings adorned with trees, many species of birds, a stream, and even a waterfall make playing this Course an occasion to enjoy and remember.

Named as one of the Top 5 Courses in the Caribbean, Cinnamon Hill offers very challenging fairway traps and narrow doglegs, while other holes are wide open.

Course designers von Hagge and Rick Baril designed Cinnamon Hill with elevations that give the sense of both coastal and tropical inland golf. At Cinnamon Hill, you'll experience some of the best of Jamaica golf - the cool ocean spray on your cheeks as you putt on seaside greens and the wind whistling through the pines as you tee-off on the 17th hole, 350 feet above the turquoise Caribbean sea.

The caddies were listed among "The Best In The World" by Golfer magazine, and they will be equally happy to discuss Annee Palmer or Arnold Palmer and can read greens better than any pro.

Cinnamon Hill offers a quintessential golf experience while protecting a rich cultural and natural environment. From Hank Smedley's original 1969 design to von Hagge and Baril's brilliant 2001 redesign, this setting is preserved for future generations. As you progress through the course, you will see a centuries-old burial plot for the family of English poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning near the fourth tee box and an ancient aqueduct used to grind sugar cane in the plantation era winding through the course.

Near the 15th green, a gentle waterfall flows, which was the site of an exciting scene in the James Bond movie Live and Let Die. Cinnamon Hill Great House, was the second home of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash for 30 years with Elizabeth Barrett Browning living in Rose Hall Great House.

Course Designers:
Hank Smedley (1969) Robert von Hagge, Smelek, and Baril (2001 redesign)
