Colony West Golf Club, Glades Course is not far from Tamarac, Florida is the Colony West Golf Club which features two very different publicly accessible 18-hole golf courses. Colony West's Championship Course offers golfers one of the most challenging championship layouts in South Florida, whereas the Glades Course is a short course that provides an excellent change of pace.

On the west side of Pine Island Road is the Colony West Golf Club's par 65 Glades Course. The Glades was opened in 1972 as one of the best executive-style short courses in South Florida and is a mix of nine par 4s and eight par 3s, with just a single par 5 hole.

Designed by well-known golf course architects Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge, the 4,175-yard Glades routing utilizes the original beauty of nature and the tropical Floridian whether to appeal to every golfer. Like the challenging Championship Course, the Glades layout features Colony West's signature demanding design, which includes strategic bunkering, doglegs, and fast greens.

In 2018, after renovating the greens on the Championship Course, the practice green, and all the greenside bunkers, the original clubhouse was torn down and replaced with a 107 room Fairfield Inn and Suites, along with a new 11,000-square foot state-of-the-art clubhouse that can accommodate banquets and meetings of up to 250 people. The clubhouse has a great restaurant, The View at Colony West, and the Pro shop is there, too, stocked with everything needed for a great round.
