Centrally located in the Inner West of Sydney, Concord Golf Club is close to Sydney Olympic Park and a convenient drive from the city center. This private club was developed over its history by course architects Dan Soutar (1920), Ross Watson (1997), and Mark Parker (2009.)
The course was re-designed by Tom Doak in 2018 and officially re-opened by The New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian. Now, this challenging 18-hole golf course with lush, tight tree-lined fairways features strategically placed bunkers, lightning-fast greens, and the par 71 layout measures 6,051-metres.
Concord has hosted a number of championship tournaments including the Australian PGA, NSW Open, ANZ Championship, and the 2004 Women's Australian Open, with the champion being Laura Davies from England.
Concord Golf Club's new state-of-the-art Golf Performance and Fitting Centre is a dedicated golf training facility catering for both beginners and advanced golfers and the center also houses the club's Junior Golf Clinics. Golfers can also take advantage of the Pro shop, driving range, practice nets, chipping area with a practice bunker, and a putting green.
The clubhouse was designed by club member Thomas Pollard Sampson in 1921 and although it was substantially added to in the 2000s the original building remains intact internally. The structure offers a warm classic ambiance, timber features, traditional historic decor, and furnishings along with sweeping views of the course and its meticulous gardens. Here members can relax with a drink or dine in the excellent restaurant. The club is also a well-regarded function venue and can cater for both private and corporate events.
