Situated on the sunny Western Australian coast in the Perth suburb of Swanbourne is the Cottesloe Golf Club. Founded over a century ago in 1908, the club established its first links course close by the sea in what was then the sparsely populated Perth region from which it took its name.
Since that time, the club has been a prominent part of the history of golf in Western Australia and has played host to recent tournaments including the Amateur Golf Championships of Australia, the Australian Junior Interstate Series, and the WA Open Championship.
With unparalleled views of the ocean to the west and city to the east, Cottesloe's Graham Marsh designed an 18-hole layout that measures 5,985-metres and is widely regarded as one of the finest walk or cart tests of golf in Western Australia. The club is currently working on a course improvement plan, again following the design criteria of Graham Marsh Design.
Golfers will find a Pro Shop and a practice area at Cottesloe Golf Club and the clubhouse provides both bar and dining facilities. Whether a light meal after a round of golf or simply a social visit, members can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Spring Bar, dining room, and club lounge, or step outside and take in the scenery from the spacious balcony or alfresco dining area. The club can also cater to private and corporate functions and events.
