Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne features an 18-hole championship golf course that's just 10-minutes from downtown Miami on the island paradise of Key Biscayne. It is the perfect alternative to civilization, where golfers can spend a day enveloped by the tropics.
The course is considered one of the most beautiful and challenging par 72 layouts in Florida and is an explosion of color and light surrounded by water, mangroves, and lush tropical foliage. Secluded and inviting, Crandon is the only public golf course in Biscayne Bay and offers 7,301-yards of golf from the longest tees.
The golf course is also rich with wildlife as there are numerous raccoons, giant iguanas, and even crocodiles (at least three). Players will also find white ibises, pelicans, the blue and tri-colored herons, snowy egrets, and anhinga gracing the fairway roughs and saltwater banks. Crandon was the site of the Senior PGA Tour for 18 years, attracting golf greats including Lee Trevino, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Don Messangale, Ray Floyd, and Gary Player.
Built in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin and was redesigned again by von Hagge in 1993, the course offers clever but enticing new greens and bunker arrangements. Once called “The Links at Key Biscayne” Crandon Park Golf Course provides the world's largest tee, challenging sand traps, seven saltwater lakes, mangrove thickets, and many holes overlooking Biscayne Bay.
Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne offers practice areas for pitching and chipping, putting green, driving range, and golf lessons. Available facilities include a clubhouse, conference facilities, banquet facilities, bar, grill, and restaurant.
