Crystal River Golf Club has been a local favorite since it opened in 1968. Formerly known as Seven Rivers Golf and Country Club, the course is not only one of Crystal River's most affordable rounds but also one of the most picturesque in all of Florida.

The club started after town leaders wanted to bring Seven Rivers Golf and Country Club to life. They worked tirelessly, and through their generosity, tenacity, and teamwork, they achieved their dream. After its opening in 1968, the club became a community staple. Modern members have continued the founders' vision for the Crystal River Golf Club with passion, preserving history while innovating and improving.

Golfers are joined by the course's abundant wildlife, including everything from turtles and alligators to egrets and eagles. The par 72 golf course has a traditional parkland layout routed through stands of mature oak and maple trees. A network of ponds and streams weaves throughout the golf course as well. The Club's members describe this as “golf with benefits.”

The course is challenging but offers a fair test, where water hazards and sand bunkers come into play often. Designed by famed golf architect Bill Amick, the course has five sets of tees, including the sunshine tees for both young and old alike, creating a fair chance for everyone to play with suitable yardage.

Crystal River also offers a practice facility with a driving range, a putting green with a sand bunker, and a chipping green. Other amenities include a clubhouse, pro shop, restaurant, bar, and snack bar. Everyone can play at the Crystal River Golf Club as it is open to the public and offers affordable golf rates. The club also provides a golf school academy and a teaching pro to help golfers improve their game.
