The Desert Mountain Golf Club, Apache Course in Scottsdale, Arizona, offers unparalleled desert golf with the world's largest collection of private, Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses, and one distinct par 54 championship course, No. 7 at Desert Mountain, one of only two such rated courses in the country.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus to appeal to golfers with traditional sensibilities, the Desert Mountain Golf Club, Apache Course is a gentle 7,211-yard layout. Moderate, rolling fairways, ample greens with subtle, grassy catch areas, and deceptively sloping putting surfaces provide a relaxed round of golf. Apache was designed as a par 72 links-style routing that winds gracefully through gentle desert terrain.
The 18th hole features two separate greens with the more difficult green set into a hillside bordered by an unforgiving wash known for its appetite for golf balls. So, it's not surprising that Apache is best known for its “disappearing green”. Overall, Apache is a challenging, yet playable course for golfers of all skill levels.
Desert Mountain members have the most extensive golf practice facilities in Arizona. There are multiple pitching, chipping, putting, and bunker areas and four separate practice range with target greens along with a Pro shop. The Jim Flick Golf Performance Centre features the most advanced technology in the industry today, making it the only facility of its kind in the country.
Members at Desert Mountain enjoy a truly inspired country club experience, not only on seven courses but throughout the award-winning Sonoran spa and fitness center, as well as ten restaurants and grills spread amongst seven distinctive, award-winning clubhouses.
