Eagle Trace is a semi-private golf club with an excellent 18-hole golf course and is located within the gated community of Eagle Trace in Coral Springs. Easily accessible from Palm Beach and Miami-Dade Counties, Eagle Trace is a PGA TOUR-caliber facility that hosted the Honda Classic from 1984 to 1991 and then again in 1996.
From the championship tees, the Arthur Hills designed Eagle Trace layout plays to more than 7,000-yards, while the most forward tees are just over 5,100-yards. The course has some unique characteristics for a Floridian golf course, including an island green, three greens surrounded by wooden bulkheads, and without a single palm tree - a rarity in southern Florida.
The par 72 routing at Eagle Trace places a premium on accuracy. Four par 3s require precise tee shots as water and bunkers protect each green, while the signature 13th hole is a par 4 which demands a well-struck tee shot to find the fairway as out of bounds and water protect both boundaries of the hole. The 18th, a par 4, is perhaps the best finishing hole in Broward County as it can be stretched out to 470-yards.
Eagle Trace has ample practice facilities for golfers and recently welcomed the Golf Channel Academy which is a dedicated network of teaching facilities and a hands-on extension of the Golf Channel's prime-time instruction programming. Clubhouse amenities include both bar and dining options and the club has several catered function spaces and meeting rooms.
