For those who want to know why The Villages named this track El Diablo (or, The Devil) the answer is simple - the 9-hole El Diablo Executive Golf Course is one of the most challenging courses on the Villages Executive Golf Trail. On almost every hole golfers will hit up toward elevated and very uneven greens.
Good luck! Par is an accomplishment, and birdies are a rare species not seen too often on El Diablo. Yardages vary from 811 to 1,486-yards on this par 27 course and the last three holes are among the most respected on the Executive Golf Trail.
El Diablo is a Level 3 course. Each Executive Golf Course is rated based on the difficulty of the course. The levels are displayed on a scale of 1 to 4, with 1 being the friendliest and 4 the most challenging. This allows players to choose what playing level best suits them so they can maximize their enjoyment when they come to play.
As a Villager, golfers can play complimentary golf on 40+ Executive Golf Courses. Green fees on the all the executive courses are non-existent for residents who are not charged for walking any of the layouts. They can also elect to purchase an Executive Golf Trail Pass, which provides them with the use of their own personal golf cart on all executive courses for the entire household that can be paid daily, monthly, semi-annually, or annually.
