Fountains West Course is the last of the 3 championship courses to be built, it was completed in 1981 around 10 years after the North Course was opened.

Designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge as a par 71, 18-hole golf course, it measures 10 yards longer than the South Course. It has 4 sets of tees to accommodate different skill levels with distances ranging from 5,294 to 6,793 yards.

The fairways of the Fountains West Course are mostly flat with a slight roll. Bunkers and several lakes influence the layout making the course challenging. A few of these holes have bulkheads surrounding the lakes. Overall, as much as two-thirds of the holes have water hazards. Also, 2 of the holes are shared with the North Course. Holes 1 and 2 of the West Course also happen to be Holes 10 and 18 respectively of the North Course.

The West Course begins at the Main Clubhouse, goes around the southern portion of the golf community, and ends back at Clubhouse finishing at the course signature hole, no. 18. Likewise, the last 4 holes are deemed to be the most demanding.

This is a player-friendly course but tougher and slightly more challenging than its sister courses. The course rating for this is 73.1 and the slope rating is 136.

In addition, the club also offers practice facilities that include a driving range, pitching and chipping areas, practice bunkers, and putting greens.

Golf Course Resort & Community

Fountains Country Club

At the center of Palm Beach County, Lake Worth has a sprawling 865-acre gated golf community. Ideal for families and ‘over 55s', it consists of 19 residential villages. Additional villages will be added soon with the conversion of one of the courses into a new golf property development.

Condominiums, both mid-rise and high-rise, and modest townhomes are located in the northern part of the development. The residents in the villages also have their community pools to enjoy. The golf properties in the north cater mostly to retirees and only a few are golfers and club members. The villages at the south located below the canal, contain the more expensive medium and large-sized estate golf homes. Families or the more affluent take up residence in this area. They are also more supportive of the club

Residents in this exclusive golf community are within reach of initially three championship golf courses, two clubhouses, a massive sports complex, 12 tennis courts, and lots of other amenities.
