Grande Pines Golf Club is located on International Drive just north of Walt Disney World and sits on the former site of the International Club. Designed by Joe Lee in 1986 and thoroughly overhauled by Steve Smyers in 2004, the 18-hole course is now heavily shaped, full of large mounding, some water and severe bunkering. Smyers created each hole the be a strategic challenge that will bring out the best in each player’s game.
Offering terrific views and challenging play for golfers of every skill level, Grande Pines Golf Club offers well-groomed fairways and greens making the par 72 layout challenging yet friendly. The staff also provides some tips and tricks for playing the best round. This golf course provides a terrific choice for a golfer’s regular rounds of golf or a new destination for players when visiting Orlando.
The 7,012-yard course is a Certified Audubon Sanctuary Course, and is a member of Marriott Golf’s Walk for Health program, where players can substitute a golf cart for a Bag Boy walking cart. Nestled among lakes, tall pines, oaks and palms, This Golf Club peacefully coexists with the native flora and wetlands.
The club offers a driving range, pitching and chipping area, practice hole, putting green, golf school academy, teaching pro, clubhouse bar and grill, a Pro shop, showers, and locker rooms. Grand Pines Golf Club is located directly opposite the Marriott’s Grande Vista Resort, which is home to the Faldo Institute and a smaller nine-hole course of its own.
