Hawks Run Golf Course, also known as Bird Bay Executive Golf Course, is an 18-hole golf course located in the City of Venice, Sarasota County, Florida. It follows an executive-style routing that stretches up to 2,423 yards from its longest tees.

These clever par 56 layouts were designed by Ron Garl and first opened for play in 1974. Since then, the golf course’s management should get all the credit for maintaining well-trimmed fairways and smooth-rolling greens that keep patrons coming back to the course year after year.

Walking is encouraged at Hawks Run and the semi-private golf course is not overtly strict with club rules but some of the basic regulations are 1) no metal spikes allowed 2) fivesomes aren’t allowed 3) no particular golf dress code but tank tops and cut-off clothes aren’t allowed for players. The Hawks Run Golf Course is available all year round, but players should always check for tee times in advance as this golf course is always busy.

Hawks Run Golf Course comes with standard practice facilities such as a driving range, pitching or chipping area, putting greens, and there’s a resident teaching pro. Other amenities include the clubhouse, diner, and a fitness center. The entire clubhouse area also has free Wi-Fi internet access for clients and visitors.
