Highlands Lakes Executive Golf Course features 27-holes located inside the Highlands Lake community. The nine-hole Red, White, and Blue Courses are all equivalent in terms of beauty and play and are regarded as three of the finest short courses in the country. Highlands Lakes Executive was designed by world-renowned golf architect Lloyd Clifton, and in typical Clifton fashion, the courses are unique and interesting with their own individual challenges.
All three courses are par 30 golf layouts that are enjoyable for golfers of all skill and experience levels. There are no notable elevation changes at Highland Lakes and the courses are mostly flat with some contoured sections. Fairways are well-groomed and the greens are well-maintained. The putting surfaces are some of the best quality putting surfaces golfers can experience in all of Florida. All three courses are generally forgiving off the tee but offer plenty of challenges to players' approach shots.
Highlands Executive Golf Course has a putting green, and it also offers lockers for the players to use. The club staff is very accommodating and happily provides tips to players who are new to the courses. Other amenities include a clubhouse and swimming pool, as well as courts for tennis, pickleball, and shuffleboard.
