The private Kasumigaseki Country Club is a widely regarded 36-hole golfing complex that occupies 300-acres of gently rolling ground on an old tea-growing estate 30-miles northwest of central Tokyo. The club's two 18-hole courses feature carefully placed lakes, bunkers, and trees, and the softly rolling fairways add to the enjoyment of a round at Kasumigaseki. The experience is further enhanced by playing amid seasonal plants such as dogwood, hydrangea, and horse-chestnut together with the calls of local bird life.

The club's better known par 71 East Course was first designed by Kinya Fujita following the establishment of the club in 1929, with construction work commencing soon thereafter. In December 1930, world-renowned golf course architect Charles H. Alison surveyed the Kasumigaseki Country Club and changed several routings.

The East Course was redesigned by Logan Fazio in October 2016 and now measures 7,466-yards from the championship tees. It successfully retains the classic look and feel of the previous remodelling work by Alison, while at the same time adding moderate undulations on the fairways and amply sized greens with dynamic level changes surrounded by large and deep bunkers. The course, now one of exceptional beauty, has a dynamism that requires accurately targeted iron shots.

In addition to the 36-hole course, the Kasumigaseki Country Club is known for its excellent practice facilities. Complete with a 250-yard driving range and five greens for practicing pitch, run, and bunker shots, the grounds certainly live up to their name of a "practice park." Members and their guests will also find a well-stocked Pro shop and can retire to the clubhouse after a round where there are both bar and dining options.
