Designed by Donald Ross and built in 1927, Keystone Golf and Country Club is located just south of Keystone Heights, Florida, just off State Road 21. This makes the golf course convenient not only to Keystone Heights but also to Starke, Hawthorne, Gainesville and surrounding areas.
Donald Ross was a golf course designer born in Dornoch, Scotland, but became a citizen of and spent most of his adult life in the United States. He was involved in designing or redesigning around 400 courses from 1900–1948. Today this course is family owned and operated by long-time residents of Keystone Heights.
Also known as Lakeside Links Golf Club, this par 36 course was redesigned in 1959 and has a challenging, classical layout that has stood the test of time well. The layout features narrow fairways lined with tall trees and small greens that are fast and undulating. Its gently rolling terrain may not feature any water hazards, but there is an elevated green on every hole to keep the course exciting, and 36 bunkers strategically placed throughout.
Keystone Golf and Country Club course has nine holes (an 18 hole round is 6,131-yards), a driving range, and a Pro shop that offers drinks, snacks, balls, tees, and more. Keystone offers regular golf tournaments and various activities for players to enjoy and the club’s friendly staff aims to please and will always do their best to keep golfers coming back!

The golf neighborhood at Keystone Golf and Country Club offers residents a rural feel, and most residents are owner-occupiers. Although Keystone Heights is perhaps not as glamorous as some other cities, this is community is where real people live and work with many retirees, families, and young professionals calling Keystone their home.
The Keystone Golf and Country Club community offer luxurious golf homes as well as more modest properties that feature a variety of architectural styles from numerous builders. These golf homes include everything from single family homes and golf estates, to golf villas and mobile homes.
The nearby downtown area of Keystone Heights provides various businesses where residents can find grocery stores and supermarkets, restaurants, banks, medical offices, library, the city hall, and A-rated schools. The area also has an airport, known as the Airpark, which was first used as a training field during World War II, but is now owned by the City of Keystone Heights.
