Laguna Bintan Golf Club on Indonesia's Bintan Island features an impressive 18-hole championship golf course. Built-in 1993, this par 72 cart-only parkland-style courses with complimentary caddie service is set within 60-hectares of tropical paradise.
Originally designed by Greg Norman, the 6,309-metre layout was revamped by Laguna Golf in 2016, providing a pure inspiration for aspiring and seasoned golfers alike. Nature truly defines the routing with the winding diverse terrains of forestlands, natural wetlands, beachfront coconut groves, and stunning rock formations.
The golf course starts with unique sea views, then wraps around the tranquil lagoons of holes 6 to 8, before challenging golfers with a winding uphill 9th hole par 4 played towards the clubhouse. Holes 10 to 15 play through dense jungle and the unique rock formations. Arriving at the penultimate signature hole 17, golfers are challenged to play directly over spectacular natural rock formations from a tee perched over the sea.
The world-class practice area at the club features a full-length driving range with a large split-level grass tee and a comprehensive short game area, including a huge 2,000-square meter putting green. PGA golf instruction is also available upon request and the practice area is the perfect venue for organized group coaching.
Laguna Bintan Golf Club's traditional Indonesian-style clubhouse sits at the highest point of the property, featuring stunning views across the golf course. The clubhouse is the perfect setting to unwind after a round over lunch or drinks and the delightful terrace café offers a selection of local and international dishes catered by the Angsana Bintan, part of the world-renowned Banyan Tree Group.
