Lake Karrinyup Country Club is widely acknowledged as Western Australia's premier golf club and is now home to the ISPS Handa World Super 6. Just 13-kilometres north of Perth's CBD, Lake Karrinyup is a tranquil botanical haven for wildlife including native birds and marsupials.

Founded in 1928 with a course layout designed by Alex Russell, the business partner of legendary golf architect Dr Alister Mackenzie, Lake Karrinyup is the hilliest of Australia's championship courses. With its magnificent eucalypts, the kangaroos that freely roam the fairways, and the unmistakable look of the bunkers, it is a quintessential Australian golf course and one sure to be enjoyed by all levels of golfer.

The character of the championship course at Lake Karrinyup is one distinguished by wide fairways and holes that ask for the player to execute a wide variety of tee shots. Those with the skill to shape the ball to fit the hole, to fly it through the ever-present seaside winds, and who hit to the best part of the wide fairways from which to approach the flag will earn the rewards and shoot the lowest scores.

The greens vary in size depending on the shot players are asked to play into them. The short, downhill par 3, 12th hole has a tiny green, one difficult to hit in any reasonable wind whilst the most difficult hole, the par 4 uphill 6th hole, has perhaps the biggest green on the course. It is a course that asks players interesting and quite obvious questions. The answering of those questions is what makes Lake Karrinyup an enduringly pleasurable and challenging course to play.

In addition to the 18-hole Championship Course, the nine-hole North Course is a fabulous feature of Lake Karrinyup Country Club, providing a challenging layout to hone a player's short game and also a facility that allows members to have a quick round when pressed for time. Measuring around 1700-meters and with a par of 31, the North Course demands accuracy of the highest level in order to score well. Slight misses left or right will invariably result in your ball coming to rest in a position that will make par a difficult score. This little gem of a course should not be underestimated.

Players will find a Pro shop offering repair services as well as equipment along with a full array of practice facilities. The clubhouse offers a range of bar and dining options and can cater for functions, both large and small, in their multiple event spaces.
