The great Jack Nicklaus who has designed almost 300 golf courses on five continents took twenty-five years to find the perfect location for his first signature golf course in Australia - Lakelands.

Multiple tee positions make this par 72 walk or cart layout user-friendly and yet challenging, whatever the player's standard and Nicklaus has used extensive bunkering and water features on many of the holes. There is plenty of room for error, however, especially from the tee, and as is typical of Nicklaus' design work, much of the 6,489-metre long course's intrigue and strategy comes in the approach to each green.

Lakelands Golf Course has been awarded Australia's best-conditioned public access golf course several times in its 20 years of operation, establishing it as a preferred venue for golfers and as a venue for corporate events. In the Australian Golf Digest's recent Top 100 Australian Golf Course rankings, Lakelands came in at number 56.

Players at Lakelands will find a Pro shop and driving range along with additional practice facilities to hone their abilities.
