Beside the Turtle Creek Club and the Riverbend Country Club is a lesser-known course that's almost hidden to the public, the Little Club. A 9-hole private equity course that's part of the Little Club, Tequesta development.
Opened in 1974, this private golf course has only one tee (white) and has a length that measures 1,080 yards. It consists of 9 par-3 holes. Hole no. 1 is the shortest at only 84 yards. Followed by the longest hole, Hole no. 2 which measures 174 yards. The rest of the holes are within 100 to 130 yardage.
The course has 3 lakes with bunkers guarding each green. The lakes influence the plays at 5 of the 9 holes. The fairways are narrow and the greens are fast. Both are topped with a very sustainable turfgrass, the Bahia grass for easy maintenance.
Little Club is simple but a fun course to play which can be finished within 2 hours. It is perfect for practice or warm-up before you take on a regular 18-hole golf course which is plentiful in the area.
Guests are welcome to play but must be accompanied by members or residents. The cost is very reasonable at $10 both on weekdays and weekends. Mat driving range and putting greens are available for practice. There are also clubs, carts, and electro-carts for hire.
