Lo Romero Golf Course has a beautiful par 72 golf course that opened in 2008. Located in the Spanish Province of Alicante, the land has an abundance of Aleppo Pines, Carob trees, natural scrub bushes growing alongside Palm trees, and an abundance of naturally flourishing Rosemary (Romero) plants, where the course was named after.

Jorge Gallen and Enric Soler who designed the 18-hole golf course made the best use of the hills, valleys, woodland, lakes, and streams to make it extra challenging. The course has a total length of 6,628 yards from the yellow tee. With its lush Mediterranean character, the course is suitable for every level of player. But be prepared to make use of every club in your possession.

Lo Romero describes itself as a “Golf Island” because of its signature hole at the 18th. A par 4 that lets you drive off from the top of the hill heading towards the island green surrounded by water and accessible only by a footbridge. Being reasonably close to the sea, the wind can also be a factor. So be prepared, this hole has ruined many a good card. Making par is good enough to be a hot topic at the clubhouse.

The clubhouse has a restaurant with an open terrace that overlooks the 18th green. A driving range is available with a chipping and putting green, and practice bunkers. A well-equipped pro shop is on hand along with the club, buggy, and electric trolley rental.

Golf Course Resort & Community

Lo Romero

A luxurious golf community resort located at an old orchard with an elevated position and overlooking the fantastic scenery of the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor Seas. It offers modern-designed apartments and golf villas that can serve as a perfect golf home for retirees and over 55s.

Interestingly, this charming golf course got its name from the Rosemary (Romero) plant that grows abundantly in the area. This par 72 18-hole golf course, designed by Jorge Gallen and Enric Soler is also known as the “Golf Island” because the 18th
hole resembles the signature Hole 17 of TPC Sawgrass.

The Clubhouse is made of a simple log cabin-type facility with an open terrace restaurant serving sumptuous food. Golf lessons can be availed along with a practice facility that has a driving range, approach area, chipping, and putting green, and practice bunkers. A pro shop and rental services for clubs, buggy, and electric trolleys are also available
