Open year-round to members of the Lopez Legacy Country Club and the fee paying public, the 9-hole Torri Pines Course is one of the most beautiful layouts of the semi-private Lopez Legacy Country Club, alongside the Erinn Glenn and Ashley Meadows layouts. The par 36 routing was a masterpiece designed by Nancy Lopez, one of the country’s most remarkable LPGA pros.
Measuring 3,390-yards from the longest tees, what makes the Torri Pines course slightly unique compared to its sister routings is its third hole, which is a drivable par 4 that plays less than 280-yards from the blue tees. The quality of the Bermuda grass throughout the greens of the layout is combined with the routing’s rolling terrain to make the layout challenging but also largely friendly to beginners.
The Lopez Legacy Country Club comes with several practice facilities that are great for first-timers or veterans returning to the game. Players have a fully stocked golf shop and the club’s expansive driving range and putting green to warm up before heading out for their round. A golf school academy is also open for interested golfers who want to learn from only the best teaching professionals.
Designed and constructed primarily for the surrounding community, the Lopez Legacy Country Club can be a fun, enjoyable place to hang out and relax without ever actually teeing off. The clubhouse has numerous amenities for golfers and non-golfers alike, such as an on-site restaurant, a swimming pool area with a pool bar, and four soft, clay tennis courts. Luckily, for residents of the surrounding Villages community, the club automatically considers them as members, so they’re only required to pay minimal fees to use the facilities and other clubhouse recreational amenities.
