Los Angeles Country Club - North Course is originally founded in 1897 it is moved to its present location, just one mile west of Beverly Hills in 1911, and has two 18-hole golf courses. The club occupies some of the most prestigious and expensive real estate in the world and the club's North Course offers a golfing experience to match for its members and their guests.

The original founders of the club Joe Sartori and Ed Tufts, along with Norman Macbeth and Charles Orr, laid out the original course which was reshaped by Herbert Fowler in 1921 before being re-routed again in 1927 by George C. Thomas Jr. and William Bell. In 1996 and 1997 the layout was again redesigned under a master plan developed by John Harbottle which significantly altered the feel of the course.

In 2010 the par 70 North Course was unveiled after a five-year restoration project, spearheaded by golf course architect Gil Hanse, which was aimed at restoring what is widely regarded as George C. Thomas' greatest design. The 7,010-yard layout now offers golfers a challenging yet fair test of their skills, whilst presenting them with many exciting moments with its hills, ridges, valleys, and swales.

The stately clubhouse at the Los Angeles Country Club is a fine example of the high standards expected of an exclusive and private country club and there are excellent bar and dining options. The club's practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, indoor practice area and there are caddies available at the Pro Shop.
