Mallory Hill is a 27-hole facility boasting some of the best finishing holes in The Villages. It comprises three exciting layouts designed by the Clifton, Ezell and Clifton Design Group in 2005: the Caroline, Virginia and Amelia. Measuring 3,579-yards from the longest tees, the par 36 Mallory Hill Country Club, Caroline Course is the longest course at the club and is open year-round to club members and the public.
The historic tee box area of the Caroline Course’s 7th hole is Mallory Hill’s own version of the fabled Amen Corner. The tee is adjacent to one of the oldest cemeteries in the county, rumored to be the final resting place of some of its earliest settlers. The Caroline Course isn’t just known for its rich history but for a challenging feature that its sister routings, Virginia and Amelia, don’t have. Most of the greens, or their approaches, are guarded by water making the Caroline routing the ultimate test for golfers’ accuracy at the club.
The Mallory Hill clubhouse overlooks eighteen of the 27-holes from one of the highest points in Sumter County. The clubhouse features a unique garden-patio-type décor. This is a beautiful addition to the great views from the dining area. The clubhouse menu offers a variety of dining options ranging from appealing appetizers to sizzling steaks.
Facilities at Mallory Hill Country Club, Amelia Course include a golf shop, putting green, pitching and chipping area, and a teaching pro. After a game, players can head to the restaurant to taste their fine food. The club also offers a clubhouse with additional amenities to use, such as swimming and billiards, that everyone can enjoy at The Villages.
