Greens are also changed to Tifeagle grass, used by many sophisticated layouts in Florida. A new irrigation system is also installed, which has been designed to water the course in the best fashion to allow the grass to thrive, thus providing an even surface to play from.
Conveniently located in front of Kings Gate Golf Club and close to Port Charlotte Golf Club, the Maple Leaf Golf and Country Club layout is nearby I-75 for easy road access. From the entrance gate, golfers will first notice the layout's putting green, located in front of the Pro shop, which offers an excellent selection of golf equipment and accessories. Maple Leaf's friendly staff will also help players make starting times, rent golf carts, rent golf clubs, and register them before each round of golf. Golf lessons and clinics are also available for both novice and experienced golfers. Adjacent to the parking area is the Sandbar restaurant, featuring indoor and outdoor lakeside dining.
