Meadowood Golf and Tennis Club are situated on 190 acres of golf development at Ft. Pierce, this charming golf course opened in 1983. The 18-hole championship golf course was designed by golf architect Charles Ankrom, a prominent designer from Palm Springs. Built in 1983 under the then area's name of Monte Carlo, the Course hosted a number of Senior Golf Tournaments plus the World Mixed Championship Golf Tournament in 1983. The Tournament was won by Golf Legend, Sam Snead and Joanne Carner.  Sam Snead later became the Resident Golf Pro Emeritus from 1988 until his death in 2002.

Meadowood Golf and Tennis Club is a 6,808-yard par 72 golf course that is surrounded by widely spaced estate golf homes inside an exclusive gated golf community. The course is strategically laid-out out across numerous trees, water hazards, and bunkers making it tricky and demanding. The fairways are a little on the firm and dry side topped with Bermuda grass. The greens have been resurfaced with Ultradwarf Bermuda grass to make the ball roll faster and truer. True to Ankrom's design, the course is rated as difficult for bogey players but fun to play. It has a slope rating of 132 and a course rating of 72.9.

A 33,000 square foot practice area complements the golf course. It offers 40 tees driving range, pitching and chipping areas, and putting greens. An in-house teaching pro is available for anyone requiring professional instructions. A pro shop is also available offering golf merchandise along with rental service for those requiring the use of clubs and carts.

Meadowood is a public golf course that requires guests to be accompanied by a member.
