Designed by architect Gary Koch and built-in 1992, the Mission Inn Golf Resort and Club, Las Colinas Course, a term in Spanish meaning “the hills”, is an 18-hole championship golf course that offers quite a different challenge from its sister layout, El Campeón. The par 72 routing has inland links designed with generous, wide-open fairways, gently rolling hills, and large undulating greens.

Redesigned by architect Ron Garl in 2007, and now measuring 7,230-yards from the longest tees, Las Colinas was nominated as “Best New Resort Course” by Golf Digest in 1992, named “Best Places to Play – 4 stars” by Golf Digest, and has received “Top Fairways” recognition by Golf for Women. The course's signature 12th hole is “Alligator Alley”, a tree-lined par 5 that requires absolute accuracy from tee to green, providing golfers with only two options: lay back short of the pine on the left and make a three-shot par 5, or pull out the driver and possibly reach the green in two by trying to hit to the narrowest part of the fairway.

For players who want to first practice their aim before a round of golf, the Mission Inn Golf Resort and Club has a complete set of golf amenities including a spacious driving range, as well as putting and pitching greens. The greens and fairways are also covered in Bermuda grass to allow the ball to roll smoothly. The friendly staff of Mission Inn can provide quick advice and golfers can take learning sessions with the teaching professionals at the club.

Aside from renting clubs or carts in the clubhouse, golfers can also dine at the pub and restaurant or relax in the spa room after a round of golf. They can even choose from a variety of golf apparel in the Pro shop or host special events at the clubhouse's expansive and luxurious conference and banquet halls.
