Mollymook Golf Club offers golfers 27 holes of publicly accessible golf, midway between Milton and Ulladulla, on the southern coast of New South Wales.
The championship Hilltop course is 18 holes of bushland beauty, situated so that you can still hear the waves rolling in on the pristine Mollymook Beach. With meandering, tree-lined Kikuyu fairways and affectionately known as "The Ultimate Challenge", Hilltop provides a stern test for any golfer, whilst ensuring players will always enjoy the serenity created by the amphitheater of native Australian flora and fauna.
Although you won't find the name Bill Andriske listed among Australia's prolific golf course designers, Andriske was the long-time course superintendent at the Mollymook Golf Club's original Beachside course.
When construction of the Hilltop course began, rather than seek out a known course architect, the club enlisted Andriske to oversee the design of the layout, which was carved from a thick eucalypt forest and opened for play in 1977.
At 6,225-metres from the championship tees, Hilltop is a challenge in terms of accuracy and distance on the fairways. The bent grass greens also pose a dramatic test, being both large and undulating, whilst the course also features water hazards from creeks and dams and moderate bunkering.
The Beachside is a 9 hole, par 33 layout that measures a comfortable 2,139-metres. The course sits atop the southern tip of the beautiful Mollymook Beach and ambles around the stunning Colliers Beach inlet.
The clubhouse features majestic ocean views of Mollymook Beach and has multiple bars and dining options as well as function facilities. Carts are available and golfers will also find excellent warm-up facilities with a practice fairway, putting green, and nets.
